First off I'd like to announce that tQ has decided, after winning their match 9:0 that they're too good for this league, and sent me a really long email complaining about a lot of stuff that I didn't really bother to read. Then they copy/pasted it into a forum post, and I still didn't read it. Life goes on.
Secondly, there was some confusion with the rotation of the players during the matches. To solve this, I will be instituting a Home Team/Away Team system, where the Home Team's players stay fixed, and the Away Team's players rotate around them. For Qualifiers, the team that is seeded higher will be the Home Team.
Also, I'd like to restate that the rules are out of date, as they have not been edited since the start of S1. They are like the Pirate's Code in Pirates of the Caribbean in that they are more like guidelines, and real pirates (ie admins) have the final say. They are not like the Pirate's Code in that they apply to more people than just Pirates.
And thirdly, I would like some feedback on the clan war format that we are currently using. Several people have raised concerns about only 3 players per war, and I have noticed that there are very few leagues on the US server that use the KOTH style anymore, so I am considering changing to that. (SGL and SCL are the only 2 leagues right now that use KOTH, and SGL will introduce a new (and imo really bad) format in a couple weeks). So post in this thread your thoughts on either this format of KOTH. Qualifiers will continue using the 3-round format, and any change to KOTH will only come into affect during the regular season.
Now, onto business.
I've decided that there isn't enough time to hold a sub qualifier to see who gets tQ's spot in the 2nd round, which needs to be filled, and so I quite arbitrarily chose DD to fill the spot. They were the highest seeded team to lose, and lost by only a single map. I know there were several other teams that lost 5:4 and deserved at the very least a shot at this spot, but unfortunately there simply isn't enough time to play a runoff tourney between 4 teams. DD has impressed me on numerous occasions in multiple leagues, so I stand by this decision.
Here are the results from last week:
1. elevengaming (xi) [9:FF] 24. Judicator Aldaris (JA)
2. Team sC (sC) [9:FF] 23. iMbalanced Team (iMba)
3. Think Quick (tQ) [9:0] 22. Proxiteam (prOxi)
4. 1nsanity (iNs) [8:1] 21. Flow Gaming (FG)
5. Eternal Plague (eP) [5:4] 20. GosuFactory (gF)
6. Nzar's Kingdom ([N]) [5:4] 19. Beercrafters (40oz)
7. Team oTL (oTL) vs 18. iRA Gaming (iRA)
8. iNtimidation Gaming (iNti) [7:2] 17. Fever Team (FEVER)
9. Team Skynet (SkyZ) [9:FF) 16. Rage of War (RoW)
10. Double D (DD) [4:5] 15. Terror Australis (TA)
11. Must Be Nice (mBn) [7:2] 14. xGamers (xGs)
12. OverDosed (OD) [8:1] 13 No Skill (nS)
And so here are the seedings going into the next round:
1. elevengaming (xi)
2. Team sC (sC) / iMbalanced Team (iMba)
3. 1nsanity (iNs)
4. Eternal Plague (eP
5. Nzar's Kingdom ([N])
6. Team oTL (oTL)
7. iNtimidation Gaming (iNti)
8. Team Skynet (SkyZ)
9. Terror Australis (TA)
10. Must Be Nice (mBn)
11. OverDosed (OD)
12. Double D (DD)
And so our matches this week will be:
1. elevengaming (xi) [7:2] 12. Double D (DD)
2. Team sC (sC) [5:3] 11. OverDosed (OD)
3. 1nsanity (iNs) [5:3] 9. 10. Must Be Nice (mBn)
4. Eternal Plague (eP) vs 9. Terror Australis (TA)
5. Nzar's Kingdom ([N]) vs 8. Team Skynet (SkyZ)
6. Team oTL(oTL) [3:5] 7. iNtimidation Gaming (iNti)
And the maps are:
Round 1: GSL Tal'Darim Altar
Round 2: Shattered Temple
Round 3: Metalopolis
GLHF!
